Cape Town Good Food and Drink Show

Randomly checked out the Cape Town Good Food and Drink show on Friday evening. The international conference centre is just a short walk from the waterfront.

We bought tasting glasses at the door and were invited to try a number of fantastic South African wines at the various booths. It actually turned out quite nicely, as we had hoped for a wine tour which time did not allow for. We basically had a little wine tour on this night!

Found the Corona booth!!!

Havana Club had a little fruit stand set up. You brought the bartender any two fruits and she would mix you a cocktail. I had melon and lime, which was rather tasty.

All in all a great show! Good representation of South African food and drink!

  • Best of the Best Cape Town I have left Cape Town after three beautiful years!  I did not travel extensively in South Africa, as I did in Namibia, this is mostly because Cape Town has so much to offer!  There is so much to see in Cape Town within an hours drive: from the diverse multicultural city; the fabulous beaches; up the mountain to rugged [...]
