Had the great opportunity to go wine tasting in the Niagara Wine region of Ontario. My friend was attending a conference in the area and suggested I meet him at his workplace so that I could tag along and then we could sneak in a few tastings. The meeting at his workplace became the only problem as I got lost on a maze of Mississauga transit buses in Western Mississauga. I arrived just at our prescribed meeting time and we headed south around the Lake to the most common wine region of Ontario on the Niagara Peninsula. We visited Peninsula Ridge Estates Winery, Thirty Bench Winery, Angels Gate Winery and finally the Fielding Estates Winery. All of these wineries fall within the ‘Bench’ region of the Niagara winelands. From what I can see there is lots left to explore!
The first few pics are from a beer and cheese tasting I did with my friend Kurtis a few days ago.
