Leaving Portland Friday morning we head north crossing the Columbia River and heading back into Washington. We had a greasy breakfast at the Peachtree Restaurant and Pie House which helped us recover from the bourbon the night before 🙂 This was a big day for driving and we had intent to make Bellingham, Washington which was over 400 km north of Portland. Of course we could not skip a stop in the legendary city of Seattle, so we spent a couple hours looking around the downtown core. We saw the waterfront, Pike Place market and downtown before continuing north to Bellingham.
The next day we crossed the border into British Columbia and had a quick lunch in Vancouver before I dropped Kurtis and Sarah off at the airport for their flight back to Toronto. We travelled over 2000 km on this trip staying in Nanaimo, Victoria, Aberdeen, Seaside, Depoe Bay, Lincoln City, Portland and Bellingham. It was a legendary road trip and I thank my friends Kurtis and Sarah for making it so awesome and the sisters for watching over us 🙂
